IS IT AN ORCHID?

I have been trying to get a good capture of these tiny wild flowers that are growing on Rushey Green just near the Crantock Beach.

So yesterday took my Nikon camera with me when we took Oscar and Phoebe for a late afternoon walk.  Still very hot so we didn't rush about.

I think it's an orchid but I'm sure someone will know.  Last year there was only two but this year it's more like 22.  They are about 10cms tall with the flower head only 3 cms.

But this lovely bright pink makes them stand out.  Fortunately no-one has touched them.

We are due to have rain tomorrow and the gardens need it.  So enjoy our summer while we have it.  Wishing you all a good weekend. xxxxx
