Late evening admiration

Last year I chatted to the man doing this garden. I watched with interest as bit by bit over 3 months he dug up his pocket handkerchief lawn adding new plants seemingly at random. His main aim was to get rid of the grass. I always stopped by for a chat and to compliment him and this year his compulsion to rid the area of grass has been well rewarded.
