Have you ever had a really good idea that turned out to be, we;ll, not such a good idea?

When I was planning my return to building an indoor model railway I thought I would safe some cash by buying a train-set even though I knew I only wanted to use some of the things in it.

Having got it home I've worked out that whilst I've still saved money on the deal the bits I want to keep are going to need quite a bit of work to make them suitable for my purposes. So when you next see a photo of this wagon you might not recognize it....
