Chartwell

We drove down to Kent today to see the family. As we got there quicker than expected we called at Chartwell for lunch and a stroll round the gardens. Apparently Winston Churchill said “A day away from Chartwell is a day wasted”. It must have been a lovely place to live for Churchill and his family. It’s now owned by the National Trust.
