Tree against the storm

Earlier in the week I had checked the date of the full moon, and the time of moonrise. I figured that when I left the hospital on Thursday evening, my Pentax with the Sigma 100-300mm would net me a nice photo of the Moon illusion.

Well...

It's raining it's pouring the old man is ... grumbling, because no moon shot. ;)

I hadn't bothered taking my Pentax to work, because of the forecast. It cleared a bit in the evening, over to the west. As I walked (eastwards) towards the railway station I looked behind me - and spied a pretty spectacular sky. The iPhone did a pretty reasonable job in lieu of the Pentax.
