Cheesy balls

... or more elegantly, gougères. The perfect accompaniment to a glass of wine. But probably not a good idea to have the oven blasting away in 30 degree heat. And I compounded the error by making a clafoutis later. By which time I needed to go outside to cool down -- at least there was a breeze out there.

Half the gougères went to the final choir committee meeting of the season this evening. Which was a tricky one.It went better than it might have done in that no-one stormed out and only one person pounded the table. But now we are a bit short of committee members and a president ... need to find some before the AGM in September. I chilled out by cruising home in my mean machine listening to Aaron Diehl. Car gadgetry includes the ability to play music from a USB stick. This is novel because the CD player in the old car broke ages ago.
