Hooded Crow Juvenile
A pair of hooded crows built a nest up the top of a lighting tower on the end of the Pole Star Pier in Stromness again this year. Last year two chicks fledged but only one made it.
This year they have been a little more successful because there are now two juveniles; this is one of them, his fluffy feathers hiding his feet. My pic is taken from a worm's eye view because he is half-way up one of the other lighting towers on the pier.
Here he is on the extra.
