Lakeland Dipper 63
... and again ... with eastern European chap working in local pub (and his girlfriend out of shot)
Snippet 1 (in uncertain language ... interpreted by guesswork and international language of expression and exasperation) ...
'we can reach the jetty if we cross here ...'
'if you think I'm wading through there, you've got another thing coming ...'
'you'll be fine ... it's fine'
'I'm not doing it' (walks back to the shore)
Meanwhile he stands up to his knees looking exasperated and then rather dejectedly follows her.
I gesture round the other way and say it's easy from the other side - they venture round and are pleased.
Snippet 2 - 5 women standing up to their waists in water like the Italians do in the Mediterranean to cool down.
One starts to try and get out and because it's rocky she approaches the shore on her stomach but then realises in about 2 inches of water she can't get up.
Hysterics and shrieks ripple across the lake for ages.
Eventually they all get out and a loud 'POP' ... the prosecco is opened.
Snippet 3 - a group of singers arrive and start singing whilst 2 dogs fight.
