Marathon

Today I was dog-sitting Hazel.  We had a long walk.  We went out early to take advantage of the cooler air, but by the time we got home it was definitely the hottest part of the day!  That was because I took a wrong turn - dhurr!  so we are both now rather exhausted.

I think this is a Golden-ringed dragonfly, but please could any expert out there tell me if I'm right or not?  In Extras is - I think - a tiger moth, though I don't know what kind.  I have seen huge numbers of them in the last week or so, often - like many of this year's butterflies - looking very ragged.
