Boat trip

We had a two and half hours trip on a boat this afternoon. We embarked in the village of Chanaz, where we are staying, and proceeded along the Canal de Savieres through the lock (Ecluse de Chanaz) on to the Rhone. We passed alongside the Barriere and returned through the lock to follow the canal on to the Northern end of the lac de bourget.

It was very hot and very vrelaxing on the boat, apart from the Captain's constant commentary for the whole time at great speed. His dialogue that is, not the boat that ambled along.
