Bootsy fallback
I took several photos today but when I got home and stuck the card in the card reader somehow the data on it had become corrupted. In the end I had to resort to my favourite fallback, a shot of one of the cats.
It's not been a great day though. I could have done with another day off but I headed in since I had a schools group and a new evening class both starting today. When I got in I heard that the evening class had been moved to Thursday and the schools group wasn't starting until next week. Still it went by ok.
When I got home I spoke to my mum on the phone and she'd had a worse day than me. It turns out that, when they operated, the surgeon accidentally nicked some sort of tube that transports fat round the body so her fluid drain is full of it. They have mover her onto a zero fat diet to hopefully give it a chance to heal naturally. If that doesn't work she might need a second operation to fix it. They haven't been able to tell her how long she is looking at though so she's pretty miserable anyway.
Add to that the fact that after she got her two parecetamol at 8 this morning they managed to misplace her drug chart so that's all the painkillers she had been given all day when I spoke to her at 8pm. She'd made a fuss about this earlier as she was also due to have a shot in the afternoon to prevent blood clots which she misses. After that her treatmentseemed to go downhill. She went down for an xray and like usual she had a trolley to carry her fluid drain pots, when she came out of her xray the trolley wasn't there and, when she asked seh was told she'd just have to carry them back up. Also, when I spoke to her at 8 her dressing was soaked and hadn't been changed when it should have. I was all set to call the ward and flip my lid but both she and Roz pointed out that it might just result in her getting worse treatment so I didn't. I'm still fuming though.
