Red red rose

This is from our front garden. The rose bush really needs hacking right back to the ground - it got a shock from the unseasonable weather earlier in the year and then getting plagued with greenfly, and most of the leaves fell off and it doesn't look too healthy at all. So I am sure that if I cut it back to the ground it might lie low for a bit but then have a whole new lease of life. I can't quite bring myself to do it yet though while it's still producing such beautiful flowers! Maybe once these have gone over ...
