The Old Forge (Wednesday 27th June 2018)
Both I and the PC have been frazzled by the current heatwave. On Monday I abandoned going on from Chippenham to Bath as planned and just visited the Avon in Chippenham instead, and haven't used the car since. Hosing the garden has involved "accidentally" showering myself, and hopefully drowning the many bugs that have been biting my feet.
There have been several incidents this week were JPEG files have become corrupted on the computer, whether by the PC, the external hard drive or the photo software is unclear; or whether the damage was occurring while I was copying the file or had happened in the past. This is rather terrifying and has meant arduously downloading online back-ups. Some were six years old but one was this very newly processed image. I had to go back to the original and re-do it as it had yet to be uploaded online for back-up. Luckily the original was unaffected.
The plants in the front yard have been attracting loads of bees and other insects. This was taken through the kitchen window.
