THE LOST GARDENS OF HELIGAN

Hi there everyone. today I went with my son Julian to the lost gardens of Heligan. it was a stunning day, but really hot! We did lots of walking, had several bottles of water, and a sandwich and a scone. I have a locals Pass, so I didn't have to pay, which is nice. I treated Julian to the admission though. It was very busy there, with people sitting under the trees etc to get some shade from the hot sun. It really is a beautiful place to visit. I didn't take my camera, as I didn't want the weight of it round my neck, so the photos were taken with my phone. When the weather gets cooler, I may visit again with the camera. In the Jungle area is a Burmese rope bridge, which is one of the longest in Britain. I promised myself that I would go on it. However, after 2 steps, I changed my mind (as soon as it started to sway)! It is only one way, so if I had taken a few more steps, I would have had to continue! Julian, however did go on it. I had to walk round to meet him when he got off. I was in such a hurry to walk round, and not get lost, that I completely forgot to take a photo of the bridge! Maybe next time.
All in all, it was a fantastic day. We were both worn out when we got home though. The heat and the walking had drained us.
Thank you for following me. Take care.
Love Theresa x
