The Paps of Jura

A delightful description I, sure you will agree. Jura’s boobies, proudly presented. Trouble is, while the island is lovely, I’ve not found a Jura I really like.

Nevertheless, it was a distillery and we visited it. On bikes, which meant we had driver’s drams to take away, rather than drink on site.

It was as hot as I would care to tolerate, some 28°C, and it was more important to keep hydrating than worry about percentages of peat. Nevertheless, box ticked, and the guide was interesting and informative.

Tomorrow will be hotter, it seems, and we are set to leave Islay for a few days in Oban and Mull. Repeat visit, again? i expect so. It’s such a glorious place. Tempting fates to presume yet another scorching hot trip next time though.
