Topi
This man is wearing a hat called a Topi, it is so called because it goes on topi your heady.
Had a poor nights sleep so feeling lacklustre all day. Though this didn't stop us from achieving a fair amount (including curry for breakfast again). We met the NGO we are going to work for which was very exciting. They are called Didi Bahini and they appear to be a great bunch of people, we were made to feel very welcome. I am sure I will tell more as we progress with our placements and feature some or all of them in these pages.
They helped us get SIM cards for our phones so we will soon be a bit more connected. We have a start date which is later than we had planned so we now need to decide what exciting things to do for the next week or so. It is festival time so we are looking forward to seeing lots of events taking place, should be good for photos...
I got my hair cut and bought some flip flops.
To end the day we had a great curry and tried momos for the first time. These are very popular dumplings and the ones we had (fried) were extremely super delicious. Not only that we had some curry which was lovely and Andrea had a special moment where she realised how great a curry can be :-)
