Arrivederci Italia

This morning we got up early and took the first Cablecar up the Marmolada. What stunning views and how different from winter scenes. It was just on freezing at the top .The very top is 3343 metres , the cable car goes to a little below that. This is a view towards the south. 
We have left Italy after nearly four weeks. We have now visited every area except Umbria. To be corrected at some time in the future I hope.
We passed through the Austrian Alps where it was very wet and cloudy, and are now in beautiful clean green tidy spacious ordered Germany. It's warm and sunny and we had a large beer at the bar, and are now set up to move on early to as close to Calais as we can get tomorrow.
In the extra, if you look closely you can see two climbers on the distant peak. You can see how high and exposed they were. Sorry if you don't like heights!
