Recording the Sunset
We're experiencing the kind of summer weather that we can normally only dredge up from childhood memories, never quite sure whether such days were real or just imagined. Nostalgia encourages a sun-kissed rendering of the past.
Today was hot and hazy, languid and lazy. There wasn't even a wisp of cloud to be seen until the evening, when the sky worked some magic to deliver a sublime sunset.
It's good to have a record of the point where the sun disappears against the crags above Rylstone at around the time of Solstice. In mid-winter, when the sun hardly makes an appearance for me at all, it's hard to credit just how far north it tracks to get here. And now it starts tracking back again.
