Oops!

Well, this is embarrassing. The overweight male praying mantis I blipped the other day is a Ms after all!  As soon as I noticed the sudden weight loss I became suspicious, but the mantis was behind the grapevine. I fetched a small mirror and was surprised to see a newly laid ootheca. So it’s back to the drawing board for gender identification. I wonder what the other “male” is.
