I often take a short cut across the footbridge/alleyway (is it called a 'footbridge'? It doesn't sound quite right?) which is built above the railway tracks. I always have a slight fear that a rogue, thief or vagabond (maybe the same one that tried to steal Nelson?) will be waiting around the corner, ready to throw me on to the railway lines below, but am always cheered when I see these ceramic tiles that are on the walls.
These lovely tiles were created by pupils of James Wolfe Primary School about 12 years ago I think? I know this, because the one in the top left hand corner was created by my son Daniel. He is looking like a fine figure of a boy and maybe a little portly on his fold-up scooter! I loved that scooter..I used to wizz home on it after dropping him off at Cubs and amazingly, the wheels (and I) stayed on!
I'm off to my friend's house tonight to meet up with some Mums I haven't seen since June, so there will be much chattering and gossping I'm sure! I will have a look at your blips tomorrow. Enjoy your day!
