Brum

I'm travelling again, and today took the train to Birmingham where I'll spend the next three days at a conference. It was really hot, which meant that it was pleasant spending the evening eating outside with my current and previous PhD students, and then watching the end of the football in a beer garden.

We're not staying in this lovely old house, but in a modern accommodation block next door.
