R picked Lola up at 9am and off she went full of the joys without a backward glance!

We left to head to Newcastle just after lunch and Alan was heading to Braehead to go skiing!

We had an easy drive to Newcastle and got checked into our hotel in plenty time to have a light dinner, get changed then head to Whitley Bay. Parked right beside the Playhouse and into the foyer with time for a G&T before taking our seats and enjoying just under a couple of hours listening to the sublime Rufus. LOVE him! So sad when he finished but he’s in Glasgow next April so hopefully see him then :-)

Chatted to two slightly inebriated very happy ladies as we made our way out of the venue. They’d travelled from Middlesburgh but we told them we could beat that :-))

Back to our fab hotel and a cheeky wee G&T to finish off a great night.
