The Good Life..... for Seagulls

Judging from the overflowing bins round the Meadows this morning it must have been a successful evening’s jollification in the sun last night for the hordes.
The seagulls were particularly grateful for the unexpected bonanza as they picked apart the mound of rubbish and food leaving a horrible mess.

My blip shows two bins but there were many more within a 200 yard distance all with distributed mess and a posse of seagulls ready for scavenging.
Happily the humans have now been around with their rubbish lorry and taken charge of the situation leaving the ground pristine again ready for tonight’s repetition. I blame the hot weather.

Not that the sun was in a hurry to appear this morning. With the breeze once more from the east, we had a pesky haar hanging over the city, with that all familiar chill in the air. Nevertheless His Lordship has raised the sunshade on the patio in expectation of the sun winning through and the lemon slices are ready to be popped into the gin and tonic once it has travelled over the yard arm. Slainthe!
