YFC Field Officer Meeting.

Well this was a first! A FO meeting outside! It was so hot last evening that when we arrived they had decided to set it up outside which actually was rather nice. With the birds singing and the lovely local church bell ringers practicing it was very atmospheric. As always lots to get through but with fun and laughter along the way!

Farming - Two on compost, hay turning , mowing and bale hauling. It’s still all go. Tractors all running really hot due to this very warm weather. Boys are having to blow out grills at very regular intervals but the air is so warm it is not helping the cooling much! Had to actually stop baling for a short while yesterday to allow the tractor to cool down!

The whole place seemed as if it was Mediterranean yesterday. At 28oC it could have been. Thank goodness for the thick walls of the farmhouse which does help to keep everything cool.

Bunny update. A few more dispatched over the weekend. Hopefully the little blighters will not be there to dig up my plants or eat the roots of my conifers in pots!! Grrrrrr. No bunny action for the dogs a present but they did catch another rat. Good for them!
