Delayed

It was extremely hot and muggy in DC today. I didn’t spend much time outside of the comfort of the air conditioned hotel, other than walking around the block to go buy some lunch. The heat actually felt good - for about 5 minutes!

This time of year we normally take off for London well before sunset. But we had a frustrating mechanical delay. It’s never easy to cool down a plane on the ground and the fix wasn’t an easy one - they really thought it was going to take awhile. So the decision was made that everyone should get off. The passengers were mostly patient but were getting frustrated at the heat and the FULL plane. So off they all got. With all their belongings. And no sooner were they off but the mechanics figured out the fix so on they all came again. Frustrating for everyone! These decisions are never easy! I was surprised how understanding everyone was! And we were all glad we didn’t cancel!
