Garden Rooms

With another sunny, hot day forecast I had thought to head for the coast on the last day of my holiday. In the event, the prospect of a 50+ min drive just for some sea air somehow lost its appeal as the day warmed up, and instead I headed to a local coffee shop (aka up market garden centre) for a relaxing drink and a naughty buttered scone!

Back home I rummaged around the modelling stuff and found an unmade 144th scale kit (1in = 12 ft) of some thatched cottages, and spent a happy afternoon starting to make it up.

I made some pretty good progress as can be seen in my blip. The single cottage on the left is one I made up some time ago. The cottages on the right are the new ones - they still need quite a bit of finishing work!
