Golden Grasses
We didn't go out for a long walk until after dinner this evening, when the air was a bit cooler. Some of the meadows are awaiting their trim. This one looked golden as the sun was going down behind it.
I spotted a young gull in a car park in Axminster today, and its mother was whirling around overhead, squawking - whether to its baby or to us to keep away I'm not sure. I approached the young one to take a photo and did not go nearer to it than about 20 metres, but the mother still dive bombed me twice - the second time when I was already retreating to the car, and I could feel its talons go through my hair it was that close. It's a good job I've got thick hair!
