A walk around Heartbeat country

We drove up to Goathland (aka Aidensfield) and took a walk down to Mallyan Spout, then on to Beck Hole, and back up "the incline" to Goathland.  I'd looked up this walk on the internet, and they did mention the many steps (both up and down) - see extra, and the rather rocky walk up the beck to the spout itself - on the left of the beck here.  They weren't joking, it was distinctly tough on the knees.  But it was a great walk.  And we saw a yellow wagtail.

Then we had a late lunch at the local inn, and a leisurely drive back to our apartment via Dalby Forest.
