Redland (Day 1146)

It was a little more grey and overcast this morning than yesterday, and the wind a little more chilly.
I waited at home for my beautiful wife to return from work, then we headed across to Ej's to make a delivery. Having finished the stone, I wanted to get it to its new home as soon as possible. Ej and Ali have recently moved to a new farm, and I had noticed there was no house name sign. I had spotted this bit of stone at the old farm, and rescued it just before they moved, then worked away to carve the farm's name on it. I am really pleased with it, and it is probably one of the best I have done. The picture was taken just after the stone was washed after I had finished carving - it looks so much better wet than it does dry.
Ej and Ali seem to be really pleased with the new sign, and the dogs love their new seat (see extra).
Back at home we had a quick lunch before heading off to check on the horses and have a wander with the woofers along the shore. Talisker did a fabulous job of finding, catching and murdering a stoat. Unfortunately the other two stoats he saw wedged themselves under a massive rock and evaded capture.
Later HV zoomed off to work and I headed out to look at a leaky shower. The customer had hoped for a quick fix, but it looks like a rip out and replace everything job.
I finished off the day giving the motorbikes a wash and polish. HV's bike looks so much better for a little care and attention.

(More of my carving can be seen here)
