Sea Urchin

A few years ago we had a really enjoyable holiday in Croatia. It is surrounded by crystal clear, turquoise seas. The only down side of such clean water is the abundance of sea urchins which makes swimming interesting because when they are alive they are covered in venomous spines. The spines drop off after they die and what is left is rather beautiful. I dived down and collected a few as souvenirs. They are really fragile and this is the only one that has survived. Oh and apparently they taste really good.
