A pre loved paddling pool can be a great source of fun for kids & pups alike.

Now 20 weeks old, the last 12 weeks being with us, we have already been on quite the journey.

As amazing and wonderful having a new family member is, very much like having a new baby, there are times when you try to recall what life was like before. Haha!

We’ve also suddenly shifted from her sleeping soundly throughout the night to having a 3am and 4.30am spirited bark, albeit only for a few minutes, but still it threw us a little out.

She’s also having her sensitive phase where regular objects suddenly seem to be the signal for the end of her world (you would think!) a man with a baseball cap and a young boy in glasses, she found both these utterly offensive! I’m told this phase will pass, indeed I’m struggling to recall it with past dogs, but hopefully that’s because it was short lived!

On the whole she’s doing so well and it’s lovely to see her grow into the pooch she is going to be. She’s got the basics sussed, but she’s definitely also a diva when she wants to be. The joy of border collie, eager to learn, eager to work and eager to please. The need to be ‘doing’ needs to be satiated.

Oh to be a puppy, to love everyone and everything unconditionally and to be loved in the same degree.

(In spite of the refusing to listen when being told to drop any stones newly discovered in the garden!)
