Hot weather, blue sky - a day spent outdoors. Planted out 3 courgette plants, which were spares - bottom layer of bed was semi-composted household compost covered with a very inferior sack of bought compost, plants protected by the freezer baskets which worked well on the other deep bed in keeping the neighbourhood cats off!
Spent many hours reading in the shade of our trees :-)
