Midnight Bonfire

The Beach Bonfire Celebrations for the night of San Juan.....were held along the Spanish coast last night....
23 June.....the longest day....and shortest night.....
Friends, neighbours and families gather on the beaches, to have a picnic, drink, chat, enjoy music..& celebrate the arrival of summer.....

Just after midnight, our Albir Bonfire was lit......
( years ago there were many hundreds of smaller fires.....now with the forest fire risk so high....we have one main fire)

Literally hundreds and hundreds of people.....of all ages.....and nationalities......were on the beach....
