...and as at least half the world's population that is a lot of, yes, 
 menstruation.

I missed MHD (Menstrual Hygiene Day) on May 28th but at 'Replenish'  a village shop 'born out of the growing interest in waste and its minimisation' I saw this display.
Ok so here we go....washable cloth pads and menstrual cups

Thankfully all in the past for me but the numbers stack up to something in the order of 10500+ tampons or pads in a lifetime!
Fine for the us who can visit the local shop but not so great for those who cannot.
The vision for MHD is to..  'create a world in which every woman and girl is empowered to manage her menstruation safely, hygienically, with confidence and without shame, where no woman or girl is limited by something as natural and normal as her period.'



Hopefully no longer 'the curse'.
