Ely Park
Committed a 'Blip sin' today - went out without a camera!!!
Fortunately I had my phone so was able to take some pics. These trees looked golden due to the lichen on the trunks and branches (see extra).
I was saddened to see the state of the 'meadow' beside them - see other extra. I remember Blipping this a couple of years ago when it was a lovely area left semi-wild, only cut a couple of times a summer so that the various grasses, buttercups, ox-eye daisies and poppies could grow naturally. Now it seems to have been left entirely alone - although the path round the outside and across the middle is mown. The result is an impenetrable forest of cow parsley and nettles about 6ft tall - such a shame.
