We had our second -4 frost today. A very cold night, even with the heat pump and hall heater on. We're very much looking forward to next winter in our fully insulated and double glazed house.
We went into town first thing to spend a gift voucher at ballantynes then do our weekly trip to the video store. The boys got woolen blankets for the walk between the two places. It was very chilly and not much sun got between the buildings.

In the evening, Elliott was sitting on the bench after dinner, right next to a container of leftovers destined for the freezer. I turned around for a second and he kicked approx 1.5l of devilled sausages onto the kitchen floor. I managed to get through it without crying (just). Not only was it the mess, but the cost of the food and the fact that it would have been a night I didn't need to cook. We'll be rearranging furniture so the boys don't have anything to climb on to get up there.
