Big Issue: “I am your friend”

Our regular Romanian woman was at her usual spot outside our local co-op today with her dog.
 
Her English is very limited but I get the impression since she acquired the dog people have been more willing to buy the Big Issue from her.
 
Today she begged me to buy it- normally I just give her a donation- because it was the last copy and she said once she had sold it then she could go home.
 
So I bought it.
