Bégur Castle
Backblip
We thought we had better have a look round Bégur, the nearest town to where we were staying and TJ decided he'd like to see the castle close up, as we had admired it from a distance on its perch on top of a hill. And what a hill it was, especially in 33 degrees heat!! We must be mad:-)
It was disappointing to find that the ramparts were all that remained and there was no shade to be had anywhere, so after admiring the views from the top, we couldn't wait to get back to the air-conditioned car. A few more shots on Extras.
We also visited some of the local beaches, or tried to, but some were impossible to reach without a long walk down the cliffs and we weren't up for that in the heat. Sa Tuna was the only one we were able to get to easily and it was okay, but we'd seen nicer:-)
In the evening we went for a meal in our favourite restaurant near Pals and had a pizza - as you do when in Spain:-) We'd tried paella elsewhere and didn't like it or the time it took to be prepared, whereas the pizzas were superb and very quick.
Our last full day today, as it's an early departure in the morning so the cases were packed when we got back so that we don't leave ourselves too much to do. We will all be sorry to leave this lovely villa and pool.
