Bracken fern
Lots of little things caught my eye on the weekly photography jaunt with LizellensLot. The bracken fern the best of several that didn't quite make the muster. A goldfinch where the eye not bright enough, a bush with berries and lots of seeds and a silhouette of 3 welcome swallows and their reflections. That was something neither of us had ever seen before- 20-30 swallows were flying up and down the inlet channel feeding. They hadn't been there 30 minutes before when we entered the area. Capturing the sight nigh on impossible. So we just enjoyed watching.
Most enjoyable this afternoon was the Historical Association AGM. Everyone keen to continue in their roles on committee had the business done in no time and on to the show and tell session which always brings out some gems. From a hand grenade (disabled) to a silver jewellery to letters from the family in the Fairoe Islands to the iconic Kiwi buzzy bee.
