Mallaig

Today we had a trip on the West Highland Railway from Fort William to Mallaig. Our train was pulled by the LMS Stanier Class 5 4-6-0 "Black Five" number 44871 (Important information). It was impossible to get a decent photo of the locomotive so I haven't used one as a blip. Intend to take care of that next week...

Mallaig is a lovely little port, Isolated, quiet but very busy. As Margaret said, "it's a real place". We had an very enjoyable two hours there...
