Memorial

This play park stands on land that once was the taxiways and aprons of an RAF base. During the the war young men from Canada, America, France, New Zealand, Czechoslovakia, Holland, Poland, France, Australia, South Africa, the Republic Of Ireland and the UK trained here as fighter pilots. Many died here or near the base and many more in combat.

If they died for anything, it was for this play park.
