On Ilkley Moor...

Or... Testing the Calf on the Cow...
Or... Bombed out at Betty's...again...
We were on a mission to use some vouchers for Betty's Tea Rooms that my sister gave me for Christmas 2016! We tried when we went to York last summer, but the queue was just too long. Anyway - lovely day forecast, so off we set - aiming for a late breakfast or an early lunch in Ilkley, followed by a mooch on the moors. It was a bit of a pain of a journey through Otley and on to Ilkley - and when we got there the shop at Betty's was open... but the café was shut for a refurb! You can imagine our disappointment ;( 
Good job we can laugh when things go wrong - we managed to find some lunch, spent the vouchers in the shop, and carried on successfully with part two of the plan. I was determined to catch a flower blip despite the windy conditions, so here you have a foxglove floating in the fresh breeze for the wildflower challenge - thanks Miranda - and for Flower Friday this week - thanks Anni ;)
The extra shows Betty's Tea Rooms - so near, and yet so far...
And the calf is only a little bit stiff ;)
