A Beautiful Bond #2
Our younger granddaughter graduated from high school today! It was a wonderful commencement ceremony honouring 211 grads. The main highlight was seeing our Kalyn walk across the stage and receive her diploma. She's done so well academically and athletically and has grown into a truly remarkable, outstanding young woman. She received two scholarships, the District Dogwood Award for Physical Activity and the Murrayville Elementary PAC Scholarship, which her sister Krista received four years ago when she graduated - awesome! Another highlight was the slide show of all the the graduates visiting the elementary and middle schools that they attended. The students in those schools lined up in the hallways and the grads, in caps and gowns, walked between them and got lots of high fives and huge smiles. Many of the young ones had made signs of congratulations. What a great idea!
We're all so very proud of Kalyn. I wanted to get a photo similar to the one of her and Krista at Krista's graduation (A Beautiful Bond #1), so here it is.
I didn't get a chance to post this last night. Today is the grad dinner and dance then all-night dry grad celebration, so Kalyn in her gorgeous grad dress will no doubt be my blip.
