Dragonfly

As we were walking discussing the lack of butterflies I noticed some activity in a small ditch. After slithering down the steep bank I spent time being entertained by dragonflies and damsels.

Love was in the air with this male persuing a female. She by the way was totally unimpressed with his approaches. Fortunately he had to rest on the reeds before pursuing her again. The blue damsels were also enjoying the sunshine.

On our way home met an ex pupil from over 30 years ago. Whilst he recognised me he had changed rather a lot. It took me a while to twig especially as he used my maiden name......we have been married 32 years! It was good to catch up ...they were a fun (in a good way) group to teach. Now feeling old!
