Glad Midsommar!

Today is Midsummer’s Eve. It is probably the most important Swedish holiday. We’re usually at the summer house, me and mum, and mum usually makes me a flower wreath and we dance Small frogs, pretending we have a proper Midsummer pole. This year, however, we need to be with Grandma, so we’re in the city.

We did go for a long and very nice walk this morning, looking for flowers. Many are already over because of the heat wave we had in May. We did find some, and I also found wild strawberries and even four bilberries! My favourite berry.

Now we’ve been with Grandma, eating pickled herring, cured salmon, new potatoes and strawberries with cream. I got a pimped meatball with soft shrimp cheese, two prawns and a strawberry for dessert. Yay!

Wishing all my Blipfriends a happy Midsummer!

Missing Grandpa.
