sunshine please Cod!

took a wee trip to Provincetown today right at the top of Cape Cod. It is described in the tourist books as both a traditional fishing town and one which is noted for its tolerance of its gay community. We're having a hard time reconciling that with the traditional Scottish fishing towns like Peterhead and Fraserburgh...!
In any case, it's very pretty and has amazing beaches - it just isn't really open yet for the season (probably because its still freeeeeeezing!).
Anyhoo, we liked the splash of yellow on this beachfront house - goes nicely with the acres of wind and rain-lashed wooden shingle which is everywhere.
