Diary of an Edinburgher

Jump!

Gym ✔️

Went to the gym, even though I’m rather disheartened as to the benefits. My knees/hamstrings have not improved, I still can’t do more than 20 minutes, sometimes I can put up the level, but that's not every time. My surgeon didn’t seem overly impressed about my gym efforts.

Today I carried on with my gym workout when I got home - we both felt the urge to do some gardening. The sunny weather inspired us. Took out a big old rosemary bush, and managed to haul out the big roots of a camellia bush. Digging, sawing, tugging, lifting, sweeping - it was hard work. We need to get some sort of edging, then plant up the new stretch of garden.
JR did a lot of weeding (she can bend down!) while I did the grass. She then popped off shopping while I tidied up and washed the path. Phew. I really deserved that Magnum.

Then I snoozed through watched some tennis while JR took Archie on a big walk.

I was sitting gasping on our front bench this morning, having just done a burst of digging, when Christine appeared at the gate with a bag of fresh peas (she's a fan of them too). What a vision! Archie and I shared them immediately. Here he's jumping for one - look at those wee feet right off the ground.
