The 'Udder' Bucket

B and I re-visited Gressenhall Workhouse and Museum of Rural Life today.  We met up with our chums there from our U3A Photography Group.

The Museum gets most of its income from school party visits and there is a farm on the site which has a barn with the title  'Where does Milk Come From'.  Outside there is a row of tiny child-sized chairs with these buckets of water suspended at arm height.  This gives the children the opportunity to feel what milking a cow is like.  I'm sure a lot of children think that milk comes from the supermarket.   This is creative and innovative education at it's best and it makes me smile every time I see it. I have to congratulate the museum on it's many interactive and imaginative displays, I'm sure it must capture the children's imaginations and make their visit most memorable.

The extra was a beautiful flower in one of the many pretty gardens, although I don't what it is I'm afraid.
