Peter and his 'posse' are at a resort in Mexico for their post graduation, pre summer job trip. He sent this picture today of an ATV (all terrain vehicle) trip on the beach. I've taken the liberty of giving him a guest slot because this is such a beautiful photo. 

While he was cavorting on a Mexican beach, I was working on his graduation quilt made from old tee shirts...and a few brand new ones....Now that my back feels fine again and I can bend over to lay it all out on the floor I need to get my skates on so that it is finished in time to take it to school with him.

I'm sure if I forget to close the door Ozzie will think I put it there for him to sleep on....

We have had a communications problem with our gardener who is apparently very busy, as is just about everybody else in the construction and landscaping industry around here. Instead of mowing the strip of our field next to the street, they mowed everything but that strip and they're too busy to answer our calls for help.  I'm concerned about it because people throw cigarette butts out of their cars, and Oil Man is concerned because when they repaved the road, they spread the invasive star thistle plant, which is extremely difficult to eradicate.
It seems that the only really effective way to get rid of it is to burn it....not likely.

Will came over this morning to help OilMan transport the mulch from the ex-dead redwood tree next door across the field to our house. Dana has been bringing Blake over to hang out with Ozzie while she helps out in the garden. When I went to their house to pick something up, he wanted to get in my car. He misses Rudy....
