Symbol of the Desert State

Cactus plants are everywhere in Arizona - and it's an offence to damage them in any way, punishable by fairly severe fianncial penalties.
They aren't confined to the desert either, they pop up in residential neighbourhoods like this one.
Look closely and you'll see a woodpecker.
